Not even ash falling from the sky could keep the crowds away from Big Sky Brewing Company on Thursday, August 27th as Modest Mouse took the stage. A late addition to the Big Sky Summer Concert Series, they came in support of their newest album, Strangers to Ourselves, their first full length release in eight years.

The band has a strong following in Missoula and they are no strangers to Big Sky’s outside amphitheater. A mostly younger crowd of twenty and thirty-somethings could be seen singing along to new songs as well as classics like “Doin’ the cockroach” – a fan favorite at live performances. Issac Brock, the bands lead singer has confirmed a new album is in the works. This news will keep fans hoping for a repeat performance next year.
