Weekend music recap

Bozeman beckons with a great assortment of entertainment opportunities, and venues for the area's burgeoning live music scene continue to grow. Restaurants and breweries are also getting in on the action, as are some revamped historic favorites such as the Eagles Ballroom. It's hard to pick a night in Bozeman where live music is not being offered up somewhere in town.

I didn't have to venture far for great music this weekend. Friday night at the Eagles featured The Cold Hard Cash Show (a Johnny Cash tribute band) in the ballroom upstairs, and The Two Tracks, an Americana band out of Sheridan, Wyoming, had toes tapping and people dancing downstairs. Saturday night at the Filling Station, Americana held sway, as Chickenjam West Productions featured Crow and the Canyon, with an opener by Bramble and Rye.

Keep an eye on the entertainment calendar in Bozeman Magazine to keep tabs on all the great musicians hitting the local scene.
