Deanna Campbell Working With State To Be On Upcoming Ballot

Wednesday Apr. 1st, 2026

After Gallatin County Election Administrator Eric Semerad announced that Deanna Campbell does not meet the legal requirements for the county’s superintendent of schools, Campbell said that, in fact, she does.

“I am running for Gallatin County’s Superintendent of Schools,” said Campbell. “I will be on the ballot.”

Campbell said that there is ambiguity in the language governing the criteria for office and she is working with state officials to clarify and clear the way for her to be back on the ballot.

“I am confident that I will be back on the ballot,” Campbell said, explaining that she has the required certifications which will be confirmed during an administrative process.
