Gallatin County Annex Building Temporarily Closed Due to Structural Issues

Friday Feb. 14th, 2025

The Gallatin County annex building, located at 215 W. Mendenhall St. in Bozeman, has been temporarily closed due to structural issues. This building, which houses employees from the Gallatin City-County Health Department, including the Bozeman WIC office, and the Gallatin County Local Water Quality District, was deemed unsafe after a roof truss was compromised. All occupants were evacuated safely. To ensure the safety of our employees and the public, the building will remain unoccupied until further structural analysis is completed. We kindly ask everyone to avoid the premises while the county continues to evaluate the situation.

“The safety and wellbeing of our employees and the public is our top priority," stated Lori Christenson, Gallatin City-County Health Officer. "Structural engineers are currently reviewing the damage, and we will provide more information as soon as it becomes available. Employees have temporarily relocated to other county office buildings or are working offsite as the building’s safety is being assessed. We are committed to maintaining uninterrupted services."
