Letter From the Editor: Human Creativity is Irreplaceable

Angie Ripple  |   Monday Dec. 1st, 2025

Welcome to the 221st issue of Bozeman Magazine. For over eighteen years, we have been telling the Bozeman story every month in print, as well as online. Bozeman is a vibrant, busy, beautiful place with a lot going on. From education to food, music to recreation, real estate to wellness, and from history to hot topics, we give local contributors a voice in the community. We are a trusted source for both current and archival information, and are relied upon to deliver when we say we will, both for our readers and our advertisers, who make it possible for us to do what we do! All of our past content remains on our website: bozemanmagazine.com, making it the best place to go for all things Bozeman.

Each issue’s cover features the work of a Montana artist. Art, both visual and written, is the fundamental basis for what we do; showcasing local talent is the gift we bestow on our community month after month. I can’t think of many other careers that offer the opportunity to make as big an impact on society as those in creative media. At a time when most everything seems disposable or replaceable, human creativity seems irreplaceable.

We are committed to providing our local publication as a platform for community members to share their creativity with passion and demonstrable talent. Each edition of Bozeman Magazine opens with an opinion piece submitted by a community member about a topic they care about and want to bring more attention to. We call it “What’s Your Beef?”—our version of a letter to the editor. Anyone can send us an opinion piece to be considered for publication; most pieces are about 750 words. All it takes to have your voice published is to share it. Email us for more information, or send your opinion to info@bozemanmagazine.com.

In this issue, we’ve gathered articles that relate to the holiday season, a season of giving and togetherness; we share content ranging from personal recreation stories to local holiday traditions of all kinds. As always, at the end of the print magazine, our Greater Yellowstone Events Calendar lists hundreds of events that will allow you to interact with and be a part of our community, and to find others who share your interests. Even more events can be found on our website, updated daily, and anyone can add events for FREE.

Thank you for picking up this issue; whether it’s your first time or your 221st, we appreciate your reading Bozeman Magazine.
