Each issue’s cover features the work of a Montana artist. Art, both visual and written, is the fundamental basis for what we do; showcasing local talent is the gift we bestow on our community month after month. I can’t think of many other careers that offer the opportunity to make as big an impact on society as those in creative media. At a time when most everything seems disposable or replaceable, human creativity seems irreplaceable.

We are committed to providing our local publication as a platform for community members to share their creativity with passion and demonstrable talent. Each edition of Bozeman Magazine opens with an opinion piece submitted by a community member about a topic they care about and want to bring more attention to. We call it “What’s Your Beef?”—our version of a letter to the editor. Anyone can send us an opinion piece to be considered for publication; most pieces are about 750 words.
