18 Year Journey of Curiosity Creativity and Community

It was eighteen years ago this month that the seeds of Bozeman Magazine were first planted. Freshly fired from a publication we had offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy, with an eight-month-old baby in tow, my husband and I embarked on something of our very own, always with what we could bring to the community in mind.
Our goal is simple: to gather everything Bozeman has to offer in one place; technically, in two places—in print and online, making it easy for people to explore, connect, and become part of the community.
Whether it’s a quilting class at the Bozeman Public Library, Sensational Babies at the Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman Symphony programs, concerts at every venue in town, art open houses, or annual local happenings, we aim to have the most complete, most accurate events calendar in the state of Montana.
Beyond just events before they happen, our editorial content is created by talented locals with a passion for sharing their unique points of view on a wide variety of topics. If you read each issue of Bozeman Magazine, you will certainly learn something new every time.
As we reflect on the journey so far, we’re filled with gratitude for the support we’ve received and the relationships we’ve built along the way. Bozeman Magazine has grown with the town—through its seasons, its challenges, and its celebrations—and we remain committed to being a trusted source for all things local.
The baby who was in tow eighteen years ago is now a college student many states away. Her passion for the arts and for participating in a variety of events is a testament to our work creating Bozeman Magazine as she was growing up. She is always seeking something to be a part of, and events that bring her joy. We wish the same for you. Here’s to continuing this adventure together, with curiosity, creativity, and community always at the heart of what we do.
