Bozeman Art Museum Art Fair Launches at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds

Artists, creatives, collectors, and the general public are invited to attend the inaugural Bozeman Art Museum Art Fair at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, Building 1, on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This exciting one-day event will feature 50 galleries, artists, and collectors showcasing original artwork available for purchase and inspiration.
Unlike traditional fairs focused solely on individual artists, the BAM Art Fair also welcomes galleries, artist collectives, and groups—a celebration of collaboration and creativity in the local and regional art scene.
Booth space is still available! A 10’ x 10’ booth is just $50, and applications are open through May 10. Apply online at bozemanartmuseum.org.
“The fair will be full of original artists selling their own work, along with collectors—or people who just have a large amount of art that needs new homes,” says BAM founder Linda Williams.
“Our biggest goal is to see the hand of the artist in the work,” adds Emlyn Harris, BAM’s associate director. “Whether it’s a painting on a bag or fine art on a wearable object, that’s exactly what we’re going for.”
This event was created in response to a growing need for affordable opportunities for local artists. While Bozeman and surrounding areas host many established fairs, the cost of participation—plus travel, lodging, and other expenses—can often be a barrier. BAM’s vision is to lower that barrier and celebrate Montana’s pioneer spirit, helping Bozeman expand its reputation as an art-centric mountain town.
This is far from BAM’s only initiative. This summer, the museum will host a Plein Air event, welcoming artists from around the world to paint scenes from the Bozeman area. The resulting works will be exhibited at the museum. Last fall, BAM hosted a successful Mini Show at the Baxter Hotel, featuring 150 small-scale pieces—and it’s coming back on November 14.
Committed to arts education, BAM taught art to 1,485 students in 13 Bozeman-area schools last year. Two of those schools have since hired BAM to teach art classes year-round.
Admission to the Art Fair on June 7 is $5, with free entry for kids under 12. Don’t miss this opportunity to support local creativity and discover something truly unique.
