Chicken Jam West: Twiddle, Brothers Gow, Kitchen Dwellers

Brian Ripple  |   Sunday Feb. 1st, 2015

The San Diego quintet Brothers Gow combines rock, funk, jazz and reggae influences with thoughtful lyrics, deep grooves and an ear for improvisation that keeps each show fresh and unique. With more than 500 shows under their belts, this well-seasoned band started off in Flagstaff, AZ, and since moving to Southern California, has developed a more dynamic sound, adding strong vocal harmonies and complex arrangements to their guitar-driven rock. Add to this mix an awe inspiring light show, and you have a recipe for a memorable concert experience.
Brothers Gow will be bringing their show to Billings on Tues Feb 3, at the Pub Station and to Bozeman on Wednesday, February 4th at The Filling Station (2005 North Rouse Avenue). The local band M.O.T.H will be opening up the night in Bozeman. Ticket prices for Bozeman are $5 and the doors open at 9pm. Visit Brothersgow.com for more details and check out the band's youtube channel to see them for yourselves! Youtube.com/brothersgow

Here are some facts about Brother’s Gow:
-The band has been touring for the past seven and a half years.
-They started their own foundation to put guitars into classrooms in early 2014. They were able to put 19 instruments into their local elementary school and plan to do the same with more schools as they tour and grow.
-Their show is unique and memorable. They travel with over 40 intelligent lights that are run by a Lighting Designer which truly separates them from touring bands on their level.

Tickets for all these shows are available at Cactus Records on Main Street or go to www.facebook.com/chickenjamwest for more information or band links.
