Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin are now one resort

Wednesday Oct. 9th, 2013

Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin are now one resort, Big Sky Resort, and to celebrate, has reopened early season, season pass pricing. A significant savings up to $688 over last year’s Biggest Skiing in America® interconnect price. Big Sky Resort is now the largest ski resort in the United States with 5,750 acres of continuous skiing, 4,350 vertical drop and over 30 lifts.

Both Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin had successful early season pass sales prior to the merger. Season pass holders will now have an option to upgrade what they purchased to all Big Sky Resort terrain or have access only to the season pass terrain they purchased. Big Sky Resort season pass holders will have access to the Spanish Peaks area as well.

The 2013-2014 Biggest Skiing in America® has been drastically reduced over last year’s Biggest Skiing in America® interconnect price. Guests who purchased both a Big Sky Resort Pass and Moonlight Basin Pass will receive a gift card credit refund in the amount of the difference.

There will be one Big Sky Resort lift ticket providing access to all acreage for $99.00 per day, which is a reduced rate from last year’s Biggest Skiing in America® interconnect price and has the addition of the Spanish Peaks acreage. Big Sky Resort will open the Mountain Village area acres, weather permitting, November 28, 2013, and December 7, 2013 the Madison and Moonlight area acres.

“Bringing together these exceptional organizations and creating a seamless and massive ski experience for our guests is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone; visitors, employees, community members, and owners.” Commented Taylor Middleton, General Manager of Big Sky Resort, “What a fantastic way to begin our 40th anniversary year.”

Successfully unifying these operations will promote economic stability and growth across the region, ensure sustainable success, and solidify the Big Sky brand as a premier ski destination and global brand.
