The Alberta Bair Theater is Montana’s largest non-profit performing arts center, with the mission to bring the excitement of the performing arts to the Big Sky Country. “We take our mission seriously,” said ABT Executive Director William “Woody” Wood, “and we are thrilled to announce our 27th season of fantastic shows coming to Billings in three diverse series, along with exciting special events sure to appeal to audiences of all ages and interests.”

Alberta Bair Theater 2013-2014 individual tickets are on sale Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Alberta Bair Theater box office at the corner of Broadway and 3rd Avenue North…  Tickets are also available at the Rimrock Mall Customer Service Desk, and at  www.albertabairtheater.org.   The ABT box office opens for sales at 9:00am. The Rimrock Mall Customer Service Desk, Phones and Internet sales begin at 10:00am.

The Eileen Orser Outstanding Performances Series consists of four unique concerts ranging from a phenomenal jazz quartet paying tribute to jazz icon Dave Brubeck, to the cutting edge ensemble Piers Adams and Gut Reaction who takes Vivaldi’s Four Seasons to new heights with a modern twist. The popular International Guitar Night returns to Billings and promises a unique evening of contemporary guitar music. Music of the Sun, featuring the contemporary ensemble ETHEL with Native American flutist Robert Mirabal, complete the palette of musical pleasures found in the Orser Series.

The Fox Series sponsored by First Interstate Bank offers an eclectic mix of performances for the whole family.  The Acting Company’s production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, a contemporary adaptation of The Fantasticks, and Montana Rep’s production of The Miracle Worker represent the theatrical offerings. Legendary Doc Severinsen and His Big Band, and the popular Irish ensemble Cherish the Ladies provide outstanding musical entertainment.  The visually stunning dance creation Botanica – by the dance company MOMIX, rounds out the Fox Series.

The US Bank Broadway Series offers timeless favorites like Hello Dolly!; West Side Story; and the Broadway musical celebration of the music of the ’60s, Hair. In addition, the Broadway Series includes The Midtown Men featuring the original stars of the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys and Ring of Fire, a touching tribute to Johnny Cash.

ABT’s special performance roster is filled with musical legends: Country Music Hall of Famers Kris Kristofferson, Mel Tillis and The Oak Ridge Boys, The Lettermen, and folksinger Arlo Guthrie. Other special events not to be missed include Peter Gros from the Original Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, Ballroom With A Twist, and Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s production of A Christmas Carol. Committed to musical diversity, ABT rounds out the season with three more special events: The United States Marine Band; the male a cappella sensation Straight No Chaser; and The Official Blues Brothers Revue!
