Jaden Carlson
Friday Aug. 30th, 2013
Possessing an amazing ear and an insatiable love for playing and performing, Jaden Carlson’s musicianship on the guitar and songwriting is beautiful and impressive. To date, she has independently released three CDs, the most recent, “Born To Fly”, features Garrett Sayers (bassist for The Motet) and Scott Messersmith on percussion and drums. Her band is comprised of musicians of national touring status and members include Jeff McCollister on bass and Noah Shomberg on drums.
Days before her 7th birthday, Michael Franti pulled Jaden Carlson onto the stage with him for the first time and since then, she has had the honor of sharing the stage with other amazing artists such as: Trevor Hall, John Popper, Keaton Simons, Groundation, The Werks, Giant Panda Guerilla Dubsquad, Great American Taxi, Curtis Salgado, Roy Wooten, Melvin Seals & JGB, My Brother’s Keeper (John Oates’ rhythm section) and many other notable musicians. Jaden has also performed at national venues such as the Fox and Boulder Theaters, the Odgen, Gothic and Cervantes Theaters in Denver, the Aggie and Hodi’s Half Note in Fort Collins, the HOB in San Diego, and at numerous festivals across the country such as: Telluride Blues & Brews, Telluride Jazz, Power To The Peaceful, Desert Rocks, Nedfest and Blues From The Top.
Jaden’s repertoire includes her beautiful and touching originals as well as many covers by Trevor Hall, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, The Meters, Dave Brubeck, Jaco Pastorius, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, U2, Eminem, Led Zeppelin and many more.
The Jaden Carlson Band will be performing at Wild Joe’s Coffee House in Bozeman on Saturday September 21. When the band last played at Wild Joe’s in March, it was to a sold-out crowd, on a Monday! Dont miss them this time!!!
