Isabella’s Odyssey is a fiction children’s chapter book about a homeless cat who decides to live at a veterinary hospital. The target audience is 2nd-4th graders but it’s a fun book for all ages. I’ve included stories based on my nearly thirty years of assisting my veterinarian husband at our small animal hospital. My goal is to educate kids about patients at a veterinary hospital as well as entertain them by having a saucy Maine Coon cat tell her story.

The cast of characters includes Doc Bill, Sally, and their twin nine-year-old daughters as well as a rat, a turtle, a parrot, and assorted cats and dogs who retain their unique animal characteristics.
