Decorated Montana Navy SEAL Hosts Radio Show

Wednesday May. 29th, 2013

Ryan Zinke, 3rd generation Montanan, known for his decorated 23 year career as a Navy SEAL and his election to the Montana State Senate, is now the host of ‘Trust, Leadership and American Exceptionalism with Commander Z.’

The Commander Z show teamed with Big Valley Radio at the request of Radioactive Broadcasting in Los Angeles. It was part of the newly launched ‘Military Appreciation Channel” (MAC). Radioactive Broadcasting’s Chief Content Producer Barbara Beech sought out Zinke to anchor this nationwide launch. ‘Ryan’s distinguished Military Career as a Navy SEAL, his leadership qualities, ability to communicate and connect with middle America put him high on our list. We are grateful Commander Z has taken the time to host his own show as part of our rollout,” said Ms. Beech.

Big Valley Radio is the only Internet Radio Show in Montana. Ryan Zinke and Big Valley Radio both call Whitefish, MT home. It was a natural fit to pair the local studio and technical expertise to edit and finalize the show. “We are honored to host the Commander Z Show on Big Valley radio,” said Ross Strauser (Founder, Big Valley Radio). “We have made the Commander Z Show a featured segment on Big Valley Radio. We plan to give the show a dedicated time slot and put it on the 24/7 rotation. It has been a big hit so far.”

Zinke’s radio and television personality has rapidly developed this past year. After his successful launch of Special Operations for America, Zinke has appeared on Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Greta, Fox and Friends, CNN, MSNBC and radio stations across the country. “It certainly was trial by fire but as a Navy SEAL you learn to sink or swim pretty fast.” said Zinke. Last week Zinke appeared on the Wilkow Majority with Special Host Stephen Banner, Executive Chairman of Breitbart News to discuss the Political Rise of America’s heroes. The discussion was mainly about the need for Veteran Leadership in politics and the rise of Former SEAL Gabriel Gomez and Former USAF COL Rob Mannes, both running for US Senate. The segment ended with Banner asking Zinke about his intentions on returning to public service, pointing specifically to the open seat vacated by Max Baucus. His response: “We are seriously looking at the race. America needs more leadership and less politics. The mission is to elect leaders who have the courage to put country above self and party politics. I have not given myself a time table for a decision but I always stand ready to serve and keep America strong.”
