Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture May 10 20th Anniversary

Friday May. 3rd, 2013

The past catches up with the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture on May 10 when it kicks off a yearlong celebration of its 20th anniversary at an Open House from 5 to 8 p.m.

Featured in conjunction with the center’s traditional Art Walk, the Open House welcomes the entire community to share in the vitality of the Emerson as it unveils three new exhibits, as well as historic displays and a slide show that document events over the last 20 years. In addition to a special Emerson cake handcrafted by students from Bozeman High, there will be refreshments and live music.

As with all Art Walks, tenant studios will be open, along with Galleria shops. New exhibits include Japanese prints in the Jessie Wilber Gallery, drawings and paintings by Bob Durden and Susan Thomas in the Lobby Gallery, and typographic works by MSU students and faculty in the Weaver Room Gallery.

Join the Emerson for this first of several anniversary festivities, enjoy the creative atmosphere and learn how the Emerson has become an artistic and cultural beacon in southwest Montana. The Open House is free and open to all. For further information, visit our website www.theemerson.org
