Intermountain Opera Bozeman Holiday Special
Saturday Dec. 1st, 2012
Don’t miss this wonderful holiday show, the captivating story of Amahl, a precocious, disabled boy; his loving, care-worn mother; and the regal visitors who arrive one night and change Amahl’s life forever. With its beautiful score and touching libretto âAmahl and the Night Visitors’ is appealing to all ages and musical backgrounds and is an inspiring story of how faith, charity, unselfish love and good deeds can truly work miracles.
Featuring Layna Chianakas (Suzuki in our 2012 production of Madama Butterfly) as the mother and Layna’s son Ghythe Haddad as Amahl. This two piano version of the heart warming tale will immediately become a family holiday favorite. You may know Eric Hastings as founder of Warriors and Quiet Waters, but did you know he has a masters in piano? Eric will be joined by L.A. Opera pianist Christopher Allen for this production.
