As a dentist with an exciting new practice in Bozeman, Gabriel McCormick has discovered a whole new world of inspiration, exploration, and relaxation behind the lens of a camera. A native of Butte, he obtained his bachelor degree here at MSU before going on to earn his dental degree in Portland. He practiced dentistry for two years in Phoenix and two in Missoula before finding his way back to Bozeman last summer starting Bozeman Dentistry and marrying his wife, Flora.

At some point along the way, Gabriel decided to use his camera for something other than taking pictures of teeth. Says McCormick “Next to my wife and my practice, photography has become my passion. I have immersed myself in books on technique, composition, and the technical aspects of photography. I have really enjoyed learning to use my eye and my camera to try and create pieces of art.”

McCormick shoots a wide variety of subjects, but mainly focus’ on the natural beauty of Montana’s outdoors and its awe-inspiring scenes. “Photography is my way of sharing the wonderful things I see in the world around us. I only hope I do them justice.”
