Big Sky Resort is excited to announce several new additions and amenities for the winter of 2011/2012. These new features include five new ski runs, the new Solace Spa and Salon, CR.eations yarn shop, The Willow specialty women’s boutique, digital on-mountain trail and lift status updates, and included breakfast for guests staying at the Summit Hotel.

“Big Sky really strives to deliver the best ski experience we can offer,” said Big Sky Director of Sales and Marketing, Meg O’Leary. “These new additions to our resort will help us do that, on and off the slopes.”
Already home to the Biggest Skiing in America, Big Sky is excited to open five new gladed runs on Andesite Mountain this year with 20+ acres. Ranging from intermediate to expert, these runs put Big Sky’s skiable acreage at 3,832.

The new, 3,000 square foot Solace Spa and Salon will also open this winter season. With seven treatment rooms, mens and ladies locker rooms, and expanded spa product lines, the new spa will now offer full salon services including hair and nails.

CR.eations yarn shop and fiber center will join Big Sky’s Mountain Village this winter, offering specialty yarns and hand-knitted apparel. The shop, located in Big Sky’s Village Center, will also offer free yarn spinning and knitting lessons.

Also new in the Village Center is The Willow, a specialty women’s boutique. The Willow will specialize in fabulous western ware with a flare as well as gifts, jewelry, and kitchen ware.

To help skiers and riders navigate the slopes, Big Sky has installed five new digital signs at key points on the mountain that will give real-time lift and trail updates. Skiers and riders will now more easily be able to get on-the-go info to find out which lifts and runs are open as well as which trails are groomed.

For guests at the luxury Summit Hotel, breakfast is now included with their stay. Take the family to energy-load on made-to-order omelets and a gourmet breakfast spread without extra charges on your bill.

In addition to everything new at Big Sky this winter, the forecast is calling for another La Nina weather pattern, meaning an extra snowy year. Come ski the great conditions and try out the new amenities: book your trip at bigskyresort.com.
