2nd Annual Winter Clothing Drive
Saturday Jul. 16th, 2011
Stuff-a-Bus, a winter clothing drive, is in it’s second year. This year the Bozeman Police Department and Dare are doing a 1 Mile, 5K, 10K- Tri-fecta race to support the Kiwanis Stuff-a-Bus project. The race will start and end at the Bozeman Dinosaur park at 1705 Vaquero near the new fire department.
Montana Harvest will provide race rolls, we will have water as well. Those with early registration will receive t-shirts and those signed up for the Tri-fect will receive premium runners shirts. First 200 registrants will also receive goodie bags.
Last year the Stuff-a-Bus project gave new and gently used winter clothing items away to over 150 families. Over 600 people were impacted by the generous sponsors and community members. Over 2000 coats, 300 pairs of shoes, 100 pairs of snow boots and countless other items were given to local families.
This year we will begin collecting items at the Run for Montana’s Future on July 23rd.
We couldn’t have this kind of an impact without our sponsors: Bozeman Kiwanis, Bozeman Police Department, Dare, Bozeman Lions Club, Bozeman Magazine, Speedy Print, KBZK, Ink Outside the Box, Xtreme Carpet Cleaning, Bozeman Running Company, Gallatin Laundry, Bozeman Community Thrift/Bozeman Thrift Inc., Accounting Made Easy, Shawn Gaugler and Baxter Creek Veterinary Clinic.
