Summer ArtCamps @ the Emerson
For Grades 3- 5
The Emerson is pleased to present a fun season of Summer ArtCamps for children grades 3-5. The educational one-week camps will be held June 20-24, July 18-22 and August 15-19 and run from 9 am to 3 pm, Mondays through Fridays. During the mornings children enjoy clay projects in Emerson’s Frances Senska Pottery and afternoons are spent doing innovative art projects in the Emerson’s Green Room or on field trips. ArtCamps include exciting projects in pottery, drawing, journaling, printmaking, painting, sculpture collage and mixed media. During Summer ArtCamps children will also enjoy art projects with guest artists, participate in outdoor recreation, and experience field trips to the Museum of the Rockies, Emerson galleries and Bozeman parks. All art materials are provided and weekly costs are $135 for Emerson family members or $160 for non-members. Parents will provide snacks, lunches and beverages for their children.
Emerson’s ArtCamps are taught by trained arts educators, Elizabeth Healy, Nina Matos, and Vanessa Rogers. Elizabeth and Nina are trained, certified and experienced elementary school teachers and also lead our “Schools in the Gallery” tours for the Emerson. Vanessa is a professional ceramic artist and teaches pottery classes for the Emerson. These teachers have over 60 years of combined teaching experience!
