Friday Nov. 5th, 2010

Big Sky Resort is excited to offer great benefits to students and educators for the 2010-2011 ski season, including Project Excel for students in the Bozeman school district. The program provides a free Frequent Sky Card to students with a high GPA who have completed at least 10 hours of community service over the last semester.

Available with a valid school ID that includes a Project Excel sticker that students apply for at school, students can take advantage of two free weeks of skiing, a week of half-priced skiing, and $20 off regular or student priced day lift tickets during all other dates this ski season.  The Frequent Sky Card also includes a 50% discount on lodging at the Huntley Hotel, 25% off ski and snowboard lessons, 10% off Big Sky Resort retail items, and two-for-one Family Fun Zone tickets after 6pm.

It’s important for kids in Montana to be able to take advantage of their amazing natural surroundings, and we want to help them do that,” says General Manager Taylor Middleton. “But it’s also important to do well in school. We want to encourage these kids to work hard so they can play hard.”

Big Sky Resort is committed to supporting students and educators, especially within the Montana community. The resort offers many discounts and programs to local schools including free season passes for students at Ophir School, discounted passes for students at Lone Peak High School, additional discounts for Lone Peak High School students with high GPAs, as well as discounted passes for local teachers. Lone Peak High School students participating in the school ski program without a season pass may receive up to six free days of skiing.

Big Sky Resort offers the longest season in the area, the Lone Peak Tram, and quality terrain, lifts, and grooming. Please join in the excitement and come play at Big Sky this winter season.
