On Golden Pond – February 5th thru the 21st at the Ellen

Most of us are familiar with the movie starring Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn, but in 1979 this charming story was first on stage. Over the years many have tackled the roles of Norman and Ethel including a TV production starring Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews as well as a Broadway production featuring James Earl Jones and Leslie Uggams. Now On Golden Pond is taking center stage at The Ellen.
The story focuses on the Thayers, a seasoned couple in the twilight years of a long marriage. While at a summer lake home, they are visited by daughter Chelsea with her fiancé and his son in tow. With laughter and a few tears, our terrific cast, under the sterling direction of Todd Hoberecht, poignantly explores relationships, life, love and family.
On Golden Pond will be performed at the Ellen Theatre February 5th thru February 21st, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $12.00 and $16.00, depending on seat location.
