The Glass Menagerie, a reading
The play that made Tennessee Williams famous, “The Glass Menagerie”, premiered in 1944. In this play the lead character and Williams’s alter-ego, Tom Winfield, narrates a story about his fraught relationship with his mother and sister. This beautiful “memory play” reveals that we cannot escape our past, no matter how far we run from it.
Bozeman Actors Theatre is performing this play as a reading, to remind people of Tennessee Williams, in advance of our next show, “The Gentleman Caller”, a story of Tennessee Williams and William Inge, both Pulitzer prize-winning playwrights. Performances at the Story Mansion on November 3 and 4. Tickets online at www.bozemanactorstheatre.org.
Cost: General Admission: $20; Students: $10
