Set in the small 17th century Massachusetts town of Salem a spiteful children’s game has terrifying consequences as accusations of witchcraft spread. The community is consumed by a climate of suspicion and paranoia. No person is safe from a neighbour's damning testimony. This chilling parable is a perfect brew for the season. Still prescient today, Miller’s classic is a frightening reminder of the frailty of reason in the face of hysteria.
