Mayfair Meadows Bike Park Reaches Major Milestone
A major milestone in the Mayfair Meadows Bike Park project is officially complete, and it’s time to celebrate!
The community is invited to join us on Monday, Oct. 5 from 4-5 PM for the grand opening of the new asphalt bike pump track at Mayfair Meadows Bike Park, located off Meadow Circle in Belgrade. Event parking will be available at the nearby Bridge Church, 608 N. Jackrabbit Ln.
The celebration will feature brief comments by Belgrade Mayor Mike Meis and the Belgrade Community Coalition, a local nonprofit helping spearhead the Mayfair Meadows Bike Park project.
Community members are encouraged to bring their bikes and take a first ride on the new pump track! To get everyone ready, the Service Station of Belgrade will provide quick tune-ups and small repairs.
The pump track is a Velosolutions asphalt park and is designed to be Union Cycliste International (UCI) certified, which qualifies it for high-level competition and race-qualifying events. It was also constructed to accommodate “all wheels” and all movement types, including bicycles, roller-blades, scooters, skateboards, and even specialized wheelchairs. With the accessibility and certification opportunity, it is the only asphalt bike park of its kind in a 430-mile radius, and the only one in Montana.
This pump track is the first completed phase of a master plan to transform the Mayfair Meadows open space into a regional asset. Once fully developed, the bike park will serve riders of all ages and skill levels – from children learning to ride to seasoned cyclists seeking a challenge.
Future phases of the Mayfair Meadows master plan include bike jump lines, parking, restrooms, and landscaping. Additional site work and improvements are planned for next spring, with future phases advancing as funding becomes available.
This project is made possible through generous support the following partners: City of Belgrade, Belgrade Regional Parks, Trails and Recreation District, Belgrade Community Coalition, Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, Gallatin County Open Lands Program, Rieschel Foundation, Morrison-Mairele, DSC Construction, Cushing Terrell, and Rivers Landscaping.
