Orange Shirt Day calls us to wear orange to remember the Native children who never returned home, support residential and boarding school survivors, and recognize the enduring intergenerational trauma caused by these assimilation school systems in U.S. and Canada. While in residential schools, students were not allowed to speak their language or practice their culture. Some children have finally been brought home after about 140 years interred at the Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Pennsylvania, and these repatriation efforts are in MOR's backyard. The extraordinary efforts of the Arapaho Tribe in Wyoming to return their children are celebrated in this documentary.
