Artist Statement: Deconstructed Horizons reimagines the landscapes of Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota through geometric forms and layered color. Drawing from mountains, prairies, rivers, and geothermal features, these paintings distill the essence of place into abstract compositions. Through simplification and structure, the work explores memory, atmosphere, and the enduring pull of the horizon. Together, the paintings offer a contemporary interpretation of the American West, balancing a deep connection to the land with a modern visual language.
