Through mythology and archaeology, this talk will connect disparate-seeming topics: paleontology, archaeology, mythology, and the Blackfeet Nation. Dale and Patty Fenner of Browning, Montana, were both raised on the Blackfeet Reservation and share a deep passion for history, Blackfeet art, and Tribal historical preservation. In this lecture, they will explore Blackfeet beliefs surrounding paleontological remains and discuss the mythology, archaeology, and paleontology connected to the Blackfeet dinosaurs of Montana’s Old West.

Bio Dale and Patty Fenner were raised on the Blackfeet reservation, both have a love for History, Blackfeet Art and Tribal Historical Preservation. They raise bucking horses and cherish time with their children and grandchildren, all of whom are involved in the ranch and in preserving Blackfeet history and artifacts. After discovering a juvenile T. rex 35 years ago, they have been dedicated to protecting Blackfeet sacred sites ever since.
