Prison of Darkness Anderson Haunted House

This Halloween, the eighth-graders of Anderson School present The Prison of Darkness on October 25 and 26. Wend your way through the Prison’s spooky cells, grisly hospital, gruesome morgue, and more. An annual tradition since 1992, the screams and jump-scares take place at Anderson’s Little Red School House, situated just five miles south of Huffine on South Cottonwood Road.

For the thrill-seekers who prefer a less-intense experience, the “lights-on” version runs from 5:30 to 6:30 pm both nights. The “lights-out,” nightmare fuel rendition starts at 7 pm and runs until 10 pm. For any who find themselves overwhelmed, there is a halfway-point exit. Parking is easy, with attendants on-hand. Dress warmly—October nights can be chilly. Concessions this year feature substantial foods and beverages.

Special thanks go to the Wild Sheep Foundation for donating the use of their smoker, and to pitmaster Larry Hassell for taking the helm to prepare the delicious smoked menu items. See you there!
