Verge has partnered with The Shane Center to present Kids Playwriting and Directing. Learn the fundamentals of play analysis and use your creativity to write your own play. Discover your own world, and create fun characters. Learn about plot structure and strengthen your problem solving skills through putting your characters in a dilemma and then finding a way out of it. Then when all of that is on paper, see your story come to life on stage as it is directed and acted by you and your peers. Directing will teach you about patience, thinking outside of the box and how to work with others to achieve the same goal of telling these fun and original stories. If you’re child is doing Beauty and the Beast Camp they are welcome to stay in between for an extended day at Verge!
