Free Show: Roadrunner + Alexander Craig + Smokestack

Covellite Presents A Free Whole-House Show: Roadrunner w/ Alexander Craig & Smokestack Friday, June 28th, 2024 Doors 6:30 pm | Show 7:15 pm FREE FREE FREE $15 suggested donation Smokestack will start the show in the upstairs theatre, and then Alexander Craig will pick up in the lounge right when Smokestack ends, and then we will roll directly into Roadrunner upstairs with no break in the music! About the bands: Roadrunner is a loving tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band. Based out of Bozeman, MT, Roadrunner recreates Jerry Garcia Band shows from the past, even recreating Garcia's stage rig, bringing a Hammond B-3 and Leslie to every show and the gorgeous female backup singers bring the songs of JGB to life! Totally different from the Grateful Dead, the Jerry Garcia Band performed all Jerry's favorite tunes including songs he wrote with Robert Hunter, hits by Jimmy Cliff, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Smokey Robinson, Bruce Cockburn, among others. Get ready to dance, Roadrunner is a super fun band full of good vibes and great energy. ***** Full-time artist Alexander Craig has a serious passion for music. Whether leading a six piece band, a trio, performing as a traditional one man band or a solo acoustic artist every show is unique and full of life. His songs are as broad as his character ranging from gut-bucket blues to dance-ready soul, down home boogie to punk inspired rock n' roll plus any style between. Under his previous alias "Crankshaft" he developed an eclectic and dedicated following. He broke industry norms performing in any type of formal or informal venue imaginable which hints to his ability to connect with all walks of life. This grass roots "take it as it comes, take it as it goes" mindset progressed to sharing stages with legends like John Fogerty, George Thorogood, and ZZ Top. ***** Smokey moved to Butte, America, in March 2012. He had been a professional touring act on the road as "SmokeStack and the Foothill Fury", a no-holds-barred train wreck blues sound. Authentic and under-produced. Smokey plays 4 instruments at once (Bass drum and snare, harmonica, guitar or banjo and vocals), to produce a sound that blends Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, and Hasil Adkins.
