Glacier National Park: It’s Early History
Lee Silliman of Missoula will present the History of Glacier National Park from before its establishment when the Blackfeet, Kootenai, and other tribes inhabited the land to the 1940’s when Going to the Sun road was built. In conjunction with our current exhibit, Glacier Revisited, Silliman will connect the photographs, lithographs, and paintings of the park to track its development through time. Learn about Glacier National park, discover the stories hidden behind the work on display at BAM, and understand a little bit more about Montana’s rich history.
