The League of Women Voters of the Bozeman Area, and the Bozeman Public Library will present a Candidate Forum for candidates running for the Bozeman City Commission. The Candidate Forum will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023. The event begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Meeting room at Bozeman Public Library. 

The five candidates running for office who will be in attendance are: Bozeman City Commission Candidates: Jennifer Madgic (Incumbent) and Roger Blank. The Bozeman Mayoral Candidates are Cynthia Andrus (Incumbent), John Meyer, and Joseph Morrison. According to Montana statute, City Commission offices are elected or appointed with reference to their qualifications and fitness and for the good of the public service and without reference to their political faith or party affiliations, therefore, no political party is attached to the candidate’s name.

 
“This non-partisan event is meant to be an informational and educational meeting leading into the upcoming municipal election held on November 7th,” said Gerrie Beck, President of the Bozeman League of Women Voters.  “The forum on October 30 will feature candidates for the Bozeman City Commission which affects everyone in city limits.” She added that the public is encouraged to bring questions for the candidates.

 
Questions from the public will be taken either via email in advance, or live from the audience. To submit questions for the candidates in advance via email, please email bboyson@bozeman.net  no later than noon, Monday, Oct. 30. The meetings will be recorded, and available unabridged as a podcast on KGVM, 95.9 FM and on the Bozeman Public Library YouTube page after completion.  The Candidate Forum is free and no pre-registration is required.
