Zeynep is originally from Istanbul, Turkey, an immigrant at the age of 15. She learned her cooking skills from the Turkish women in her family and launched her career at a local Farmer's Market in Bozeman where she introduced Hummus in three flavors to the public. After a trip to Turkey, Z and her husband decided to launch a gyros business in Bozeman with a vertical broiler and a hot dog cart. After consistently attending and selling gyros at Farmer's Markets for 5 years, they opened Z's Mediterranean Restaurant on the corner of 19th & Babcock and operated that successfully for 10 years. The restaurant closed this past year, but Z continue to work in the field, catering for private jets and smaller groups while still manufacturing Z's Hummus for local stores.
