Gyrokinesis
Thursdays 12:15-1:00 PM
Bozeman Public Library Community Room
Led by Erin Groth. The Gyrokinesis Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method that coordinates movement, breath and mental focus. The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair without equipment.
About Erin: I'm a Montanan who is a Mom, GYROTONIC® teacher, ski instructor and arthritis educator. My personal experience with RA, AS, and inflammatory tendon disease has fueled my professional purpose.
I teach clients how to recover from injuries like hip & knee replacements, to work with challenges such as Scoliosis & Osteoporosis, and how to move to improve through my gyrotonic work. I also teach a somatic-approach to cross country skiing which gets people balanced and flowing in the winter. I teach group exercise classes at the Gallatin Valley YMCA and am a Walk With Ease Leader other parts of the year. I'm a known hype-person for snow-activities and prioritize getting out with clients, friends and family from December-May.
My professional passion is arthritis therapy and coaching. I enjoy education and outreach through The Remission Possible Program. I developed this program to support RA patients after initial diagnosis. I pick up where the doctor leaves off--I'm an enthusiastic guide for patients learning self-care.
My legacy is sharing practical tools for pain management, self-healing, and living well day to day.
