A Conversation with Montana Free Press
Join Montana Free Press reporters Alex Sakariassen and Arren Kimbel-Sannit as they share their experiences covering the 2023 Montana State Legislature and the bills that impact the First Amendment in the library, including HB 234 and HB 359. There will be time to ask your questions about reporting on the state legislative process. This program is part of the Library’s Banned Books Week programs.
Arren Kimbel-Sannit is a political reporter with the Montana Free Press. Originally from Arizona, Arren was a statehouse reporter for the Arizona Capital times and covered agricultural and trade policy for Politico before coming to Montana.
Alex Sakariassen focuses on long form narrative stories spotlighting the people, politics and wilds of Montana. He's originally from North Dakota.
