Bat program and guided walk

Missouri Headwaters State Park will host a bat program and guided walk this week.

Educators with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will introduce various bat species found in Montana and the ecological role they play. Educators will also demonstrate a method of identifying bat species flying nearby by capturing and comparing echolocation frequencies. The program will include a guided walk through the park to observe bats.

This event will be Friday, Aug. 25, at 8:30 p.m. behind the park office. There is no cost to Montana residents. An $8 entrance fee applies at Montana state parks for all nonresident vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chair and flashlight.
