ServSafe Manager Training
This all-inclusive ServSafe Manager Training will be located in Bozeman, Montana on Tuesday - March 14th, 2023.
This is a one-day, all inclusive training that goes from 9:00am until 5:30pm. Studying is not required for our trainings.
We pride ourselves on providing an all inclusive training that allows food service employees of all backgrounds to be able to attend our training and pass the exam with no previous knowledge or studying. In a busy world like we live in today, we know students are unlikely to find the time to study prior to the training. That's why we take care of everything in just one day!
While passing is of course not guaranteed, many students who attend our trainings are able to successfully complete the exam on the first attempt without studying prior to the class.
The class is $225/student, which includes the entire day of in-person instruction, a copy of the 7th edition ServSafe Manager Coursebook, as well as the proctored exam.
Early Bird Pricing available through February 14th, 2022 at 11:59pm. Early Bird Admission is $200/student.
There will be a 45 minute long lunch break. Students are responsible for their own lunch. Complimentary coffee and tea will be provided.
During the beginning of the day we will go over the heart wrenching story of what happened during the Jack in the Box outbreak that happened in the 1990's. After we are all emotionally invested we will dive into the material, which is presented using a combination of PowerPoint slides as well as whiteboard instruction. The material itself is a combination of textbook material as well as real life experience as told from the instructor's experience as a health inspector. The combination of the two will prepare you for your health inspection and give you the best opportunity to learn and apply the information presented.
The exam is administered during the final portion of the class. It is a 90 question exam. Students are required to receive 70% or higher in order to pass. Once students pass, they will obtain a ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager certification that is valid for 5 years and meets the health department requirement to have a CFPM on staff. While most students in my class pass, I will discuss in the class what to do should you not pass on the first try. Students typically receive their results 1 - 2 weeks from the date of the class. The exams are graded at the ServSafe Service Center in Illinois, not by the instructor.
Having a textbook after the class is a nice benefit you get from taking our in-person training. People who opt to take this class online do you receive a textbook and don't have anything to reference after they complete the online course. In our class the book is yours to keep and you will receive it the morning of the class.
For students who would like to study. Study information can be found on our website at www.FinleyFBconsulting.com/memberarea
There are many benefits to taking an in-person training, but one of the benefits of taking this class with Laura Finley is that she is a former health inspector and a former restaurant manager. She understands both sides of the industry and is the ideal person to be teaching this class. She is able to present the information in a retainable and comprehendible way. It doesn't hurt that she has that food & beverage industry sense of humor either.
If you are still not sold check out our YouTube channel to get a feel for Laura's teaching style: https://youtube.com/playlist...
Questions and comments are encouraged. If you aren't going to be able to sign up - let us know why! Perhaps there is something we can do to help.
Laura can be reached by phone or email. Also be sure to check out our website for more information.
