Montana Trail 406 Association Presentation

Looking to jump-start your hiking and biking adventures in the new year? Here's an opportunity for an REI member to do just that! Race Bannon will be here to talk about the Montana Trail Initiative and current efforts partnering with onX Backcountry to create a 1700-mile trail from Idaho to North Dakota. The Montana Trail is a multi-discipline route that showcases the best of our diverse state from the Crown of the Continent to the breathtaking grasslands of our prairie landscape. The Montana Trail offers an opportunity to bring recreational dollars to many small rural communities of our state as more people discover the recreation possibilities beyond Yellowstone and Glacier NPs. Race has hiked the Continental Divide Trail, The Arizona Trail and the Hayduke Trail. He has also biked the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Banff to Mexico and will start the Pacific Crest Trail in late March. Race now lives in Great Falls, where he co-hosts the radio program Front Range Outdoors. He is the founder and President of the Montana Trail 406 Association. The MT406AQ currently has a Joint Resolution before the state legislature to formalize the Montana Trail.
