Bozeman Tenants United Town Hall
On Sunday, February 19, Bozeman Tenants United is sponsoring a Town Hall, an interactive political event open to all Bozeman residents concerned about the impact of Short Term Rental housing on Bozeman's housing affordability. The meeting will take place at UCC Pilgrim Church, 2118 S 3rd Ave, from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM. The Town Hall will feature music, food trucks, and your participation.
Three of Bozeman's five city commissioners have already signaled they will attend the Town Hall, and a fourth is trying to arrange to be there, as well. The purpose of the Town Hall is to provide a positive, interactive forum where citizens and commissioners can discuss the impact of Short-Term Rentals (STRs) on housing affordability. It will be an opportunity to listen, to learn and to make one's voice heard on the issue of STRs and their role in increasing rental prices and availability in Bozeman.
The event's sponsor, Bozeman Tenants United (BTU), is Bozeman's only tenants' union; among other things, the union advocates for the production of affordable housing to encourage and retain working people in our community. BTU supports policies that will enable hard-working, regular people to get a foothold in housing in Bozeman.
Come to listen. Come to learn. Come for the music, the food, and the opportunity to make your voice heard.
