MT-1 Congressional Debate
Bozeman, MT — For the first time in over 30 years, Montana has two congressional seats. This has meant the congressional campaigns have heated up quickly, with many candidates still in the running and no one knowing how these new districts will vote. So, it is more important than ever to make sure you’re informed and ready to participate in this historic election! The people who represent us in Congress are making decisions that affect our daily lives on issues like the public lands and climate change, where we invest our money, and healthcare. Make sure our representative represents you by coming to MT-1 Congressional Debate from 5:30-8:30 PM at the Emerson on May 20th. Entry is free.
Staying informed is the best way that you can prepare for this election. We hope that you will be able to come to the debate to hear from MT-1 (Gallatin County’s district) Democratic congressional candidates, Cora Neumann, Monica Tranel, and Tom Winter. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet-and-greet with state legislative and local candidates.
Gallatin County Democrats Chair, Julia Shaida, says, “We are focused on making this event educational and accessible so that everyone in our county can benefit from the opportunity to learn about the candidates. We hope that you’ll join us, no matter whether it’s your first election or your 50th!”
To rise to the opportunity of having two congressional districts, we must also prepare. Attending this debate is the first step in building the kind of future we all want to see in Montana, one that is abundant and full of care, kindness, and mutual respect. We hope to see you there!
