International Guitar Night
Each year, International Guitar Night’s founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries from around the world for North American concert tours highlighting the diversity of the acoustic guitar. 2022 marks the 23rd year of touring the U.S. This year, Gore has put together another brilliant lineup. This year, Lulo Reinhardt, Germany’s Latin swing master, is joined by Italian acoustic rock sensation Luca Stricagnoli, Hawaiian slack key master Jim Kimo West, and progressive fingerstyle guitarist Thu Le.
Luca Stricagnoli is considered one of the most dynamic acoustic guitarists in the world, who modified capos and plays up to five guitars at one time
Jim Kimo West is regarded as one of the world’s foremost “ki ho’alu” or Hawaiian “slack key” guitarists. Kimo is a 2019 Grammy nominee, a 2008 winner of the Hawaii Music Awards and four-time Na Hoku Hanohano (the Hawaiian ‘Grammy’) nominee.
Lulo Reinhardt comes from the famous Reinhardt family, and is a descendant in the long line of skilled and successful Sinti musicians. He returns to the IGN tour as guest host and passionate performer of gypsy jazz guitar.
Thu Le hosts successful master classes across the globe and stays close to her cultural roots performing regularly in Vietnam. She performs regularly at the famous Joaquin Rodrigo Guitar Festival in Spain, and performs with orchestras, string quartets, vocalists, violinists, flutists and in guitar duos.
Each musician performs individually, as well as in duos, trios, and the full quartet. The night promises to be the finest guitar playing on the planet.
