The concert is a light-hearted program exploring a violinist known as ‘Little Ragamuffin.’ Giuseppe Valentini was a fascinating character as painter, poet, and composer. He succeeded Corelli, the great guru of Baroque musicians in Rome, and his music is in the same tradition of warm affection and beauty. This program is presented in an outdoor setting, with baroque violins, cello, bassoon, and lute. This concert is outdoors. Bring lawn seating and sun protection. Beverages and picnics welcome. Baroque Music Montana presents this concert as part of the annual Period Performance Workshop and collaborative concert tour, this year with special guest Baroque dance specialist and violinist Julie Andrijeski.
