We're cleaning up Hyalite on May 15 to make sure the canyon is in tip-top shape before the road opens for the summer season!

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are asking people to sign up for a project in advance, and space is limited. Details about where to meet will be provided upon signing up.

Although volunteers should be able to maintain physical distancing during the Clean Up Day, please plan on masking up anytime you cannot maintain physical distancing. Bring whatever clothing is necessary to stay warm and dry in Hyalite that day (the weather could be anything from 60 and sunny to snowing!). Wear closed-toed shoes (boots are recommended) and please bring a mask and your own work gloves. Friends of Hyalite and the Forest Service will provide tools, trash bags, etc. We will wrap up around 4:00 with a late picnic lunch for all volunteers!
