17 to ZERO: Communities Engaging to End Veteran Suicide

In the U.S., we lose 17 veterans to suicide every day. To raise awareness and honor the lives lost, MSU Veteran Services, MSU Bobcat Athletics, and the Help Center are hosting 17 to Zero: Communities Engaging to End Veteran Suicide. The goal of this event is to continue decreasing rates of veteran suicide by informing and empowering those in the community to reduce stigma, help veterans access mental health services, and keep the conversation about veteran mental health and well-being at the forefront. Montana is home to one of the highest per capita veteran populations in the country, and a large portion of those veterans live right here in the Gallatin Valley. This virtual event will encourage people to get out on April 17th to move their body and/or mind in the name of veteran mental health. We are also recruiting individual and team fundraisers to raise vital funds to support MSU veteran student mental health needs as well as the Help Center’s 24-Hour crisis and suicide prevention services.
