Juneteenth Cookout & Movie Night
We’re in a moment of uprising across America. We’ve rallied for racial justice like never before, but whether or not we build a Bozeman where Black lives matter is up to us.
On Juneteenth, Bozeman United is calling upon all Bozemanites to host a cookout and movie night in your home with your family or roommates. Sign up to get the guide with videos and virtual actions to take with your housemates.
No matter if you rallied with us last week, or just heard about our group, we'll support you every step of the way to pull your cookout off! With our goal of 500 parties across Bozeman, we carry forward this fight by inviting in our friends and family to learn and grow.
Juneteenth is an American holiday celebrated on June 19. It memorializes June 19, 1865, when Union general Gordon Granger read orders in Galveston, Texas, that all previously enslaved people in Texas were free.
