Due to recent public safety concerns regarding COVID-19, we regret to inform you that we are postponing Lightwire Theater (previously scheduled for March 14^th) and the Czech Girls’ Choir JITRO (previously scheduled for March 28^th). We have already begun to make arrangements with both groups to return to Big Sky at a later date. We understand that this is disappointing news, and it was a very difficult decision to make on our end.

While we understand that the risk in Montana right now is low, we want to be proactive and exercise an abundance of caution. Ultimately, we are concerned first and foremost for the safety and wellbeing of our audiences and artists.

Regarding your tickets, here is what we’d like to offer:

First, we are happy to provide refunds or hold your tickets to future performances of both Lightwire Theater and Jitro, the Czech Girls’ Choir. While we do not have confirmed dates yet, we are optimistic that both groups will be returning to WMPAC within the next two years. If you would like us to hold your tickets, simply email us to let us know. If we don’t hear from you, we will refund your tickets.

Thank you for your support of the live performing arts in Montana. We love what we do, and we love having the privilege of being a cause for gathering in our rural mountain environment. We look forward to serving you with inspiring shows in the future.

Returning to Montana after an inspired tour back in 2016, JITRO (“YEE-tro”), meaning “Daybreak” in Czech, is more than just a concert choir from Hradec Kralove, a small town in Czechia. It is an organization of more than 300 youth between 5 and 19 years old in seven preparatory ensembles, of which only the best 25 qualify to tour internationally. For 35 years they have been admired all over the world for their tonal brilliance, superb intonation, distinctive rich blend of sound and energetic vitality.

Jitro makes over 100 appearances annually and has sung with other renowned choruses, including the American Boys’ Choir. Jitro has performed with the Bavarian Symphonic Orchestra, the Milano Symphonic Orchestra and Pardubice Philharmonic, and Bobby McFerrin at The Kennedy Center in 2008. They have performed in prestigious concert halls in Prague, Barcelona, Hale, Strasbourg, Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore, Atlanta, Ithaca, Penn State University, New York, San Antonio, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bern, Basle, Dortmund, Avignon, Toulouse, Xiamen and many more.
