2019 Raptor Fest Kick-Off at the Ellen Theatre 10/4 - Sky Migrations - 6:30pm - Free! Join us in a free viewing of Sky Migrations, followed by a discussion with two of the directors, Charles Post and Max Lowe. Each fall our skies fill with the wings of migrating raptors, a migration that relies on two hemispheres worth of wild and healthy ecosystems. A network of volunteers and biologists stand on remote mountaintops ready to document each pulse of the migration by collecting data that may arms us with the means to better understand the health and wellbeing of these wayward fliers and the landscapes that sustain them. Join ecologist and filmmaker, Charles Post, as he follows their migration, and shines a light on the network of backcountry scientists and sentinels at the front lines of raptor conservation.
