Intermountain Opera Bozeman will host free salon evenings in Julia Martin’s historic house at 419 S. Grand on September 19, 20, and 21 from 5:30-8:30 each evening. These free open house events will include art, refreshments, home tours, and talks by Dr. Sharon Beehler (literature), Dr. Eric Funk (music), and Marshall Noice (art). The salons are inspired by the Parisian salon of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas at 27 Rue de Fleurus in Paris, which was host to some of the greatest artists and intellectuals of the 1920s. Stein's salon is the setting of IOB’s fall opera, Ricky Ian Gordon's "27." For more information, visit intermountainopera.org/art.
