32nd annual Festival of the Arts
A stylish gathering of fine art, inventive crafts, homemade pies, and fun is back again.
The Livingston Depot will host its 32nd annual Festival of the Arts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 2019 from 10 to 6 on the 2nd and 3rd, and from 10 to 5 on the 4th.
Over a hundred fine artists and crafters from Montana and the western region who have been successfully juried in for the show will be presenting their skilled handiwork. Past and new vendors will present oil paintings, photography, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, iron, apparel, repurposed antiques, stained glass, herbals, toys, and more. Some artisans also do onsite demonstrations.
An event trademark each year is the Depot Foundation’s homemade pie booth with a creative range of homemade pie offerings.
The event also includes a variety of food vendors like as the Livingston Sister City program, in support of its students’ trips to Japan, with burgers, dogs, and sides. Other event vendors have included fresh-popped kettle corn, chocolates, specialty lemonades, flavored ices, and more.
Visitors can also enjoy the adjacent Depot Museum’s historic rail and Yellowstone exhibits, as well as this year’s special exhibit, “The Danforth at the Depot,” a preview of a planned art museum.
The Depot Festival of the Arts is a fun opportunity to stroll in the summer air and enjoy food, pies, art, and friends at a central Livingston attraction during the famous Fourth of July celebration.
The Depot Museum exhibits are open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5, and Sunday from 1 to 5 with a nominal admission. Group tours are also welcome, and more information is available through the Depot office at (406) 222-2300 or its website, www.livingstondepot.org.
