Noir - A Tantalizing Evening of Dance and Burlesque
Raison D’être Dance Project (RDE) was founded by Genevieve Trygstad-Burke and Erin Levy in 2017, with a mission to foster collaborations, reach diverse audiences, and share their artistic ideas with the Bozeman community. The core company members are dancers and choreographers that share this collaborative goal to work together with respect for each other’s training, and to achieve a higher level of working which focuses on artistry and growth. In 2019, RDE’s season will include professional development and fundraising for the production of "Rachmaninov & Plutonia”, scheduled to premiere in Fall 2020. Proceeds from performances leading up to 2020, will go to funding the production which will include a full orchestra and piano soloist. Nina Tucciarelli (Vera Visceral), a choreographer for RDE, will be writing and recording the music for the 2nd Act of the 2020 production “Plutonia.” With her background of variety show and Burlesque skits, she helped RDE put together “Noir”, an opportunity to let loose, connect with the audience, and entertain styles that stray from RDE’s root disciplines. The Rialto has graciously agreed to donate proceeds from the ticket sales for “Noir” to funding for Raison D’être Dance Project’s 2020 production. Any tips or donations received during the evening will go to funding RDE’s Projects. Raison D’être Dance Project is grateful to the Bozeman Community for their continued support, and look forward to contributing to the area’s ever-evolving contemporary arts scene.
